Anjali Desai

Anjali is a first year civil engineering student at Drexel University from Sugar Land, Texas. She chose Drexel as her university because she wanted to broaden her horizons and gain more experience through co-op and by living in another state. Anjali was inspired to be an engineer because of her love of playing with objects, breaking them apart, and rebuilding them. Her goal is to travel abroad and use civil engineering to help other communities grow and prosper. 



Sophia Laino

Sophia is a freshmen civil engineering student at Drexel University. Born and raised in New York, she was inspired by all of the infrastructure that surrounded her giving her the passion she has for civil engineering. She is a proud member of the Toastmasters club at school, a public speaking and leadership club. She chose the biomedical robots section because she also has a passion for biology and helping people. 




Eva Teplitsky

Eva is an electrical engineering freshman from Warren, New Jersey. She has a background in robotics from the four years she spent participating in her high school’s First Robotics Competition team. Eva is able to program in Matlab, Java, and Python. She is interested in medical robots because of her background in robotics. Eva believes it is also a great opportunity to help others and possibly save lives down the road. 




Andrew Ward

Andrew was born and raised in the Poconos of Pennsylvania and is currently studying mechanical engineering as a freshmen at Drexel. He is actively involved in the community, spending many hours during the summer mentoring youth robotics and other STEM related clubs. Biomedical robotics is especially exciting for him because of his love for robotics and for the positive applications of medical robots.
